Privacy Policy
HeatTreat Bench is a reference and logging tool for metal heat treatment. This policy explains what we collect. In short: your logs are yours, and we collect as little as possible.
Stored on your device
Your heat-treat logs, measured hardness values, notes, and photos are stored locally by default and never leave your device unless you enable optional sync or export them.
Optional sync
If you turn on sync, your log data is stored in your private cloud account so it appears on your other devices. It is not shared with other users or used for advertising.
Sign-in
You can use the app as a guest, or sign in with Apple or Google to enable sync. When you sign in we receive only your account identifier and, if you share it, your email address — used solely to identify your account and its synced data.
Collected automatically
- Anonymous crash and performance diagnostics.
- Non-identifying feature-usage events to guide development.
We do not sell data and use no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google. We receive only a receipt to unlock Pro, never your payment details.
Your rights
Export or delete all data from Settings → Delete account at any time (see how to delete your account). For a copy of synced data, email privacy@heattreatbench.app.
Children
The app is intended for users 13 and over and is not directed at children.
